Hanser’s: Over Forty Years of History

Established in 1963 , it all began with a vision over forty years ago... Ralph Hanser had a simple dream of offering quality service to automotive customers. It started as a service station. With the road to the present having many turns and twists along the way, Hanser’s has managed to reach far beyond any original expectations.

Hanser’s companies consist of wrecker and recovery, auto and truck repair, volume transmission rebuilding, and a late model salvage company.

Wrecker and Recovery
Hanser’s has locations in Billings, Big Timber, Columbus, and Hardin. What was once one little blue wrecker has grown into eighty-seven pieces of operating equipment including five roadside service trucks, excavation equipment and specialized Hazmat emergency response units.

Auto and Truck Repair
Hanser’s has 29 foot service bays including a hoist capable of lifting up to 60,000 pounds, which will provide service for diesel and motor coach repair. Our heavy-duty truck department has 125-foot drive through bays, so you don’t have to separate the truck and trailer. This gives us the opportunity to get you back on the road in the fastest manner possible. We are a warranty outlet for Workhorse Chassis and HWH leveling systems and slide outs.

Volume Transmission Rebuild Center
Hanser’s state-of-the-art rebuild center includes torque converters, valve bodies, and solenoid rebuilding. All of our transmissions are tested on a computerized dyno tester which ensures our customers a quality unit at a fair price. Hanser’s sells transmissions throughout an eight state area.

Salvage Company
Hanser’s has over 2,000 late model cars and trucks available. Our computerized inventory is tied in with ARA, Gold Seal, Premier Auto Recyclers and United Recyclers. Being part of this group makes us a member of prestigious recyclers where the products are low mileage, quality recycled parts.

We have over 60,000 square feet of building that sits on 24 acres with over 100 enthusiastic, competent employees who want to serve the motoring public. Hanser’s is a one call for all of your automotive needs.
